On the 5th of march the seniors at Turuturu school went to the Power Co Aquatic Center and had swimming sports. Their was a lot of races, some of the races are dog paddle,freestyle,backstroke and breast stroke. 

League

During the last few weeks

rooms 1, 2 and 13 have been getting taught how to play league by Hawera High School pupils.
Jacko from Taranaki sport picked 16 Turuturu pupils to represent our school in a tournament.

Week 2

Week 1 sped by and we all worked hard on our term goals. Our main task is to now work on achieving these before the end of term. This week we have begun our Culture study and we have tried to answer the question "What is culture?" This is a biggy. We are now discovering what culture our ancestors are from.

Yep don't all pass out Room 13 is posting something Day 1 of Term 3. We have started the terms writing with our goals. Everyone is writing a Reading, Writing, Maths and other goal. These are based on our reports and the following interviews. We welcome Bailey and Pou to our class and farewell Byron - after having him in my class for 18 months I will miss him. Our units for the term are Multiplication/Division, Countries of the World Cup, Inferences and main ideas in reading and speeches and Reports in Writing.

Earthquake Fundraiser

Today we held a sweet and cake stall to raise money for Christchurch. We had an amazing amount of goodies to sell and we sincerely thank all parents and grandparents for their donations towards this stall. We will be having the stall again tomorrow and will post our figure raised soon after.

Election Results

Our class president and vice president have been named for this term. They are Ethan Crawshaw (President) and Paris Phillips-Hall (Vice president). Good luck to you both.
